Client Challenge: An Eastern European client aimed to develop an innovative “power drink” for dogs, targeting both functionality and ease of production. The objective was to create a product that could be efficiently manufactured within the client’s existing facility, while delivering clear added value in terms of performance and pet acceptance.

Key challenges included:
• Developing a stable and effective liquid formulation
• Ensuring high palatability to drive repeat consumption
• Creating a production-friendly concept without requiring major CAPEX investments
• Defining a clear functional positioning in a competitive and evolving market

Our Approach
GC Consulting supported the client from concept to ready-for-production solution, focusing on both formulation and industrial feasibility.

The project included:
• Development of a tailored premix allowing easy dilution with water at the client’s facility
• Optimization of ingredient selection to ensure functionality, stability, and cost-efficiency
• Formulation design aligned with targeted benefits and market expectations
• Palatability testing to validate acceptance in dogs
• Evaluation of product effectiveness based on intended functional positioning
• Guidance on production setup, including mixing and bottling considerations

Outcome
The result was a scalable and market-ready product concept, combining technical feasibility with strong commercial potential.

Key outcomes included:
• A validated premix formulation ready for industrial production
• Proven palatability and functional performance
• A streamlined production process adaptable to the client’s existing infrastructure
• Clear timeline towards market launch

Production has been scheduled for May–June 2026, marking the transition from development phase to commercial rollout.
