Client Challenge: A European petfood brand approached GC Consulting with a specific request: developing a range of premium bone broths enriched with functional ingredients to support different health and wellness benefits for pets.
A project perfectly suited to our experience in pet supplements, functional ingredients and tailor-made product development. Working closely with our specialized partners, GC Consulting coordinated the development process, combining nutritional expertise with high-quality food production.
The first step was to develop specific premixes of active ingredients, carefully selected to support the requested functional benefits and product positioning. Next, we partnered with a premium producer of human-grade bone broths to bring these formulations into a finished product.
Our involvement includes:
• Developing tailor-made functional concepts and formulations
• Selecting active ingredients and creating specific supplement premixes
• Coordinating production with a specialized human-grade bone broth manufacturer
• Organizing and evaluating production trials
• Preparing the final technical data sheets and product specifications
• Coordinating the development of printed pouch packaging
Following successful production trials, the formulations and technical data sheets have been finalized. The project is now in its final packaging development stage, with the printed pouch designs being prepared for production.
GC Consulting continues to coordinate the different partners involved, ensuring that formulation, production and packaging come together in one finished product.
